Rocio is a new media artist from Argentina. Her work explores the ways in which people communicate or choose not to communicate with each other using technology.
She investigates how people can be hyper-connected but completely alone in the in the first age of social media. Her work is inspired by the internet’s influence over the structures of relationships: specifically the nuanced ways in which the internet is capable of starting and ending new love.
Her work includes these notions of love-meets-technology through a lense of banality and awkwardness.
She is working on her MFA in Digital + Media at the Rhode Island School of Design.
